Last year, nearly 300 participants attended the inaugural Roots & Remedies gathering in New Orleans. Together, we surfaced emerging and best practices and policies that bridged critical issues like food sovereignty, the right and reclamation of public spaces, improving public schools, protecting human rights, increasing human mobility and more. The end goal was to deepen our shared analysis of root causes and elevate practice and policies -remedies - as part of an inclusive framework that helps us forge common ground, and identify shared points of collaboration and action.
We expect Roots & Remedies 2 to have the same vibrant, diverse and intergenerational mix. We will also host opportunities to visit great work happening on the ground as well as feature some of San Antonio’s amazing local culture.
