"My life's work cannot be so that the Black boys can do the same things the White boys do; they are not sustainable."--Savi Horne, ED, Black Land Loss Prevention Project

"My life's work cannot be so that the Black Boys  can do the Same things  the White Boys; they are not sustainable."--Savi Horne, ED, Black Land Loss Prevention Project, North Carolina
Black Farmers and Sustainability, Justice, Fair wages and working conditions for farm workers?
The first time I met Savi Horne, ED of the Black Land Loss Prevention Project in NC, at the RC 2011 Gathering in Oklahoma, she said to me, "My life's work cannot be so that the Black boys can do the same things the white boys do; they are not sustainable."
Black is not enough; we must demand sustainability, and justice and fairness with farm workers of all farmers.
Black wealth and power and doing the same thing as the current power brokers is not "the change we need'  It is the same ol' oppression with Black instead of White faces.  This is not porgress.
