United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization Representative to Cuba, Dr. Theodor Friederich of Germany, Says Solution to World's Food and Agriculture Crises is the Family Farm Where the Family Does All the Labor Needed Using a No-Till Agroecological Farming System
On July 14, 2017, I had the opportunity to visit with the UN FAO representative to Cuba, Dr. Theodor Friederich of Germany, in his office in Playa, La Habana, Cuba. Dr. Friederich shared that the solution to the world's food and agriculture crises is the family farm where the family does all the labor needed on the farm using a no-till, agroecological farming system. Dr. Freiderich continued that his job as the UN FAO representative in Cuba is to push the Cuban government toward such a system. Cuba is making progress toward such a system he said. He needs to keep pushing and educating the Cuban government he said. He also shared that he particularly like the work of ACPA in Cuba, the Associacion Cubana de Produccion Animal. https://www.ecured.cu/Asociaci%C3%B3n_Cubana_de_Producci%C3%B3n_Animal
