In order to learn how monastics structure their day, balancing meditation, work and rest, you can read A Zen Master’s tips for staying sane in challenging times. They are Thich Nhat Hanh’s key teachings on the art of living each day well.
Here are two dharma talks from Thich Nhat Hanh on how to stay calm in a storm, and transforming depression, anger and fear with mindful breathing and walking.

Thank you, the cello is sublime ……. sitting here in ‘house arrest’ like half of the world’s people… while the fierce little virus stalks around outside like a hungry tiger … I feel the peace and calm of Plum Village coming into the room … see you in September if my frail old body is spared for a while longer …

While the Buddha is in me, in each of us, in our mindful thoughts and actions; resources in the plum village’s app and mails help me centre and touch the Budhha within … and bring it forth not just to breathe and sit with me, but in my small actions (in being and in doing) each day.
