Good afternoon,
You are invited to join an upcoming virtual panel discussion hosted by Vermont Law School's Center for Agriculture and Food Systems. This event will bring together lawyers fighting structural racism in agricultural law and policy: Monica Armster Rainge, Esq., Director of Land Retention and Advocacy at the Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund; Stephen Carpenter, Deputy Director and Senior Staff Attorney at Farmers’ Legal Action Group; and Sherri White-Williamson, Environmental Justice Policy Director at North Carolina Conservation Network.
Join us at vermontlaw.edu/live on September 3 from 6 to 8 p.m. ET to discuss Black land loss, the connection between agriculture and environmental justice, and the role of law and policy professionals in rooting out racism in the food system. The event is free and no registration is required. We hope you can join us!
