We are not these bodies. These bodies and this world is just an illusion created by thought. We are awareness, pure consciousness or spirit itself. Thoughts, feelings, mental perceptions and formations arise within this awareness or pure consciousness and create this illusion we call "reality," "the world." But it is just an illusion. These thoughts are not even "our thoughts." They are just thoughts that arise in awareness, pure consciousness itself. ANd in truth we do not exist. We are not as well. Consciousness is all there is. ALl there is is consciousness. This being we think we are is nothing more than an illusion created by the thoughts, perceptions and mentla formations that arise in and are part of awareness, pure consciousness itself. While these are the teachings of the Buddha, "I" have also realized this myself (in the illusory world!) (Thich Nhat Hahn calls this illusory world, the historical dimension and refers to awareness and pure consciousness itself as "the ultimate reality." In truth they are the only reality.

One may wonder like "myself," why this illusion, this dream world. The Hindu guru Ramana Maharshi has said, all this is for formless awareness, pure consciousness or spirit itself to SEE Itself. I would add, "To KNOW itself and to GROW itself.
It seems to me that the only reason pure consciousness would need to KNOW itself is to GROW Itself!!!!
So in truth all this, the world and spirit, is about spirit, pure consciousness or awareness, growing itself.
ANn as the beatuiful Spanish play, "Life is a Dream" says, "
